Draft legal document
Acceptable use policy
A draft framework for safe and respectful use of Portal Page services.
Document status
Version: Working draft, 10 August 2026
This document was generated as a responsible starting structure for Portal Page. It requires review by qualified Australian legal and privacy professionals, alignment with the actual product architecture and customer agreements, and approval by the company before publication.
Purpose and scope
This is a draft service-policy structure only. It should be aligned with the actual product, customer responsibilities, moderation capability and applicable law before any community relies on it.
Each customer may also need visible community standards suited to its purpose. Those standards should not contradict the service policy.
Prohibited misuse
Users should not use Portal Page to break the law, threaten or exploit people, distribute malware, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with service availability or defeat security controls.
- Targeted harassment, credible threats or hateful abuse
- Non-consensual intimate material or sexual exploitation
- Fraud, impersonation or deceptive collection of information
- Malicious code, credential theft or security probing without authorisation
- Spam or commercial activity outside the community purpose
- Publication of another person’s sensitive information without a legitimate basis
Community content and privacy
Members should contribute only information they are authorised to share and respect the stated audience of private spaces. Private access does not remove obligations of confidentiality, copyright, privacy or professional conduct.
Customers should provide reporting routes and explain moderation. Urgent danger or criminal conduct may require referral beyond the portal.
Enforcement
Responses should be proportionate to severity, context, recurrence and risk. Possible actions need to match actual product capability and may include warning, content restriction, account restriction, preservation required by law or customer action.
The approved policy should explain decision authority, notice, review or appeal where appropriate, emergency action and the relationship between Portal Page and customer moderation.
Reporting
Insert verified abuse and security reporting contacts before launch. Do not direct urgent emergencies to a web form; users should contact appropriate local emergency services.
